How should I dress for portraits?
Avoid busy patterns and choose solid colors. Dark clothing is less distracting and draws attention to the face. If it's a family or couple, try to coordinate informal or formal but not necessarily matching outfits. Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable and confident. Do not overdress.
How to arrive to a session?
Please arrive on time with hair, makeup, and clothing ready to go.
How do I view and share my images?
Images will be posted on www.thisdayphotography.net. You will be able to access your gallery and order prints. Please allow 1 week (3 weeks for weddings) following the session date for digital processing and graphic design. The gallery will remain online for a minimum of one month.
How do I order prints?
Ordering is easy. Just use the online shopping cart, or if you prefer, you can call or email your order.
What is a digital image?
It is a full-print resolution image on a compact disk. The digital image will include graphic design and will come with a copyright release, meaning you can print and publish the image as you wish. You may not change or alter the image in any way without written consent; however, I would be happy to assist you with whatever changes you may need.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I currently accept cash, check, and credit cards via paypal.
Do you have a studio?
Our studio is almost complete! Currently all sessions are done on location. Therefore, we will hold the session wherever you want. I have several go-to locations in the area that I love, but I'm always open to new ideas as well. Sessions held at your home are always a great option because everyone is comfortable and relaxed. Once your session is booked, tell me about the kind of feel you want to your images and we can determine the best location for your session.
What are your hours?
I am available by appointment. Please call or email me to schedule a session or event.
When should I schedule a portrait session?
It's best to schedule your session 2-3 weeks ahead of time, depending on the time of year. Spring and summer generally fill up quickly.
How do I book a wedding or event?
Once you've made your decision to hire me, I will mail or email the wedding or event agreement that you desire. Please mail the agreement and a deposit of 50% to secure your date. The deposit is not refundable for any reason. The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks prior to your event date.
What is the best time of day for on location photography?
The ideal time to capture outdoor photographs is 1-2 hours before sunset.
What time of day is best for babies and young children?
Its best to schedule your session when they are well rested with full bellies. Please allow extra time during this session, as children tend to get restless.
